Podere Alberese was founded in 2003, through the shared vision of the Bozzano family and agronomist Giovanni Casati. Our journey began with the cultivation of our estate-grown olive trees to produce extra virgin olive oil. Soon after, we expanded our activities to the cultivation of vines on the estate and winemaking. Through the collaboration with Tenute Silvio Nardi in Montalcino, we produced our two first vintages, 2004 and 2005. Since 2006 we have independently produced wine solely from our vineyards at Podere Alberese.
Organic farming has always been a fundamental feature of our products, and our aim is to apply the ancient traditions of making premium Chianti in an otherwise neglected area.
We have been certified Organic since 2007, after the required three year transitional period.
